In just a matter of weeks, Rotary District 7680 will be sending its first group of Rotarians on their trek up Mount Kilimanjaro.  While I’m very excited about the opportunity to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, I am even more so honored to have a role in Rotary’s efforts to eradicate polio.  Having grown up in India, I’ve seen how communicable diseases such as polio can alter people’s lives and how difficult and hopeless life can be afterwards.  However, knowing that Rotary is so close to eradicating polio worldwide, I believe that we can indeed bring polio to an end and prevent people from having to endure such a malicious disease.

Some people are talented enough to become doctors or researchers and help find cures, distribute vaccinations, or perform medical procedures for polio victims.  However, there are many people like myself and like a lot of other climbers who cannot do those things, and so we climb Kilimanjaro and raise money to help end polio.  Our team’s goal is to raise $100,000.  I ask that you please contribute to polio eradication by supporting Rotary District 7680 and donating .

Any amount will help, or contribution of $25 will get you a Rotary PolarMax T-shirt
